Social Media Management in Cancun

Your audience does not live here and is not on your clock. Publish when they plan the trip, not when you open the office.

Why Brewed?

Before, during and after the trip: three different audiences

Social accounts for a Cancun tourism business carry three conversations at once, and confusing them costs bookings. There is the dreamer who has not chosen a destination yet, and you speak to them with inspiration and experience. There is the one already coming, asking concrete questions by message: availability that week, how to get there from the airport, whether the tour runs in rain. And there is the one who already left, your cheapest channel of all because they post their photos and answer their friends. Most accounts in this market speak only to the first group with pretty photos and neglect the second, which is the one bringing money this week. We split content across those three moments, publish on source-market time, and treat the inbox as a booking channel with an agreed response time rather than a mailbox someone checks when they can.

  • ✓Content split by trip stage: inspiration, decision and memory
  • ✓Publishing on source-market time, not on ours
  • ✓The inbox treated as a booking channel with a response time
  • ✓Spanish and English written by humans, not auto-translated

01

Shooting in the right window so it lasts three years

Producing video in Cancun carries one particularity nobody mentions until it goes wrong: the beach does not look the same year round.

02

Stop selling the destination. Sell yourself

The most expensive mistake we see in Cancun accounts is producing destination content. Turquoise water, drone over the sea, sunset: beautiful material competing against millions of identical pieces that, even when it win…

03

Filter the trade before giving away the room

Cancun receives more collaboration requests than almost any destination on earth, and that is the problem: most of those accounts have audiences scattered across Latin America or purchased followers, and three comped nig…

04

Selling location to someone who has never been here

In a destination where the guest pays without having seen anything, aerial footage answers the question carrying the most weight in the decision: where exactly is this.

Frequently asked questions

We answer your questions 😎

Which language should we post in?+

Both, and not in the same caption. Cramming Spanish and English into one post makes it long and unreadable for everyone. What works is alternating based on who you are addressing that day, or using the platform language feature where available. The English has to be written by someone fluent: a United States traveler spots machine translation immediately.

Should you answer messages or our reservations team?+

It depends on volume and whether you have real-time availability at hand. A structure that works well here is that we handle first response and filter general questions, while availability and rate questions pass immediately to your reservations team, who can actually close them. What matters is that nobody waits six hours, because the traveler is asking the same question in three other accounts.

What do we do about negative reviews?+

Always answer them, in the language they were written in, without arguing. In a destination where travelers decide by reading reviews, the response matters more than the complaint: whoever reads it is evaluating how you handle a problem, not whether you had one. What does damage is a negative review with no reply, and a templated reply, which reads exactly like machine translation.

When is the best time to shoot in Cancun?+

Outside the heavy sargassum window and outside occupancy peaks, because with a full hotel it is very hard to film clean common areas. That usually leaves a handful of good months worth booking in advance. It is why we recommend planning production months ahead rather than when the video is already needed.

How many reels do we need per month?+

Eight to twelve is a reasonable floor for the algorithm to have something to work with. What matters in such a saturated destination is not quantity but specificity: ten pieces showing your place outperform thirty generic beach clips that disappear into everyone else content.

How do we know if a travel influencer is worth the stay?+

Ask for audience data by country and city before accepting, not view screenshots. What matters is that their people are in your source markets and travel to destinations like yours. Be suspicious of very large accounts with generic comments, and of anyone unwilling to share numbers. And define deliverables in writing: how many pieces, with what mentions, and whether you may reuse the material.

Can drones fly in the hotel zone?+

With restrictions and not everywhere. Airport proximity imposes real limits, and there are protected natural areas where it is not permitted. We review the exact location and altitude before committing to a date, and file for authorization where applicable. Flying without verifying exposes you as the client, not only the operator.

Do you serve the entire Cancun area?+

Yes. We work with businesses in Cancun and the surrounding area —Zona Hotelera, Centro, Puerto Cancún, Av. Tulum, Punta Cancún— remotely and on-site when the project requires it.
