Get them to book with you, not the OTA

Cancun runs on international travelers, and those travelers search, compare and book months ahead, usually in English and usually on an OTA. We build websites and campaigns for hotels, tours, transportation companies, restaurants and vacation rentals across the Hotel Zone, Puerto Cancun and downtown, with one goal: the booking comes through your channel instead of one that charges you a commission.

  • ✓Bilingual site and campaigns built for the international traveler
  • ✓Your own booking engine to cut OTA commissions
  • ✓A campaign calendar for high season, low season and holidays
  • ✓Content and reviews that win the comparison against the OTA

What else we do for businesses in Cancun

01

Selling dated capacity is not selling products

E-commerce in Cancun follows a logic that store templates do not solve on their own. What you sell is perishable inventory: twenty seats on Tuesday tour, a room that night, a table at eight.

02

Here downtime is measured in lost bookings

Website maintenance carries different weight in a market where the site takes money. If your booking engine stops responding on a high-season Saturday, you did not lose visits, you lost room nights or tour seats nobody w…

03

On a site that takes money, trust is the product

Web security carries different weight when your page receives payments from strangers three thousand kilometers away. In Cancun we handle two recurring problems.

04

A site with last year rates costs you the booking

Tourism businesses in Cancun change pricing more often than almost any other sector. Low season, high season, Easter week, summer, long weekends, year end: each block has its own rate, its own minimum stay restrictions a…

05

Your photo gallery is what is slowing you down

Nearly every slow site we optimize in Cancun has the same culprit: photos. A hotel or operator needs to show rooms, beach, pool, restaurant and activities, and ends up with galleries of forty enormous images loading all…

06

Shooting in the right window so it lasts three years

Producing video in Cancun carries one particularity nobody mentions until it goes wrong: the beach does not look the same year round.

07

Time zones are the problem automation solves

Cancun tourism operations face a gap no other industry experiences the same way: the customer researches and decides on their clock, not yours.

08

Where your server lives matters more than you think

A Cancun tourism business faces two infrastructure decisions almost nobody makes consciously, and both cost money. The first is location: if your visitor arrives from the United States or Canada and your server sits some…

09

The most profitable campaign in Cancun is the defensive one

Before spending a peso chasing new travelers, there is a leak nearly every hotel and operator in this market leaves open: someone searches your exact name on Google, intending to book with you, and the first result they…

10

Stop selling the destination. Sell yourself

The most expensive mistake we see in Cancun accounts is producing destination content. Turquoise water, drone over the sea, sunset: beautiful material competing against millions of identical pieces that, even when it win…

11

Filter the trade before giving away the room

Cancun receives more collaboration requests than almost any destination on earth, and that is the problem: most of those accounts have audiences scattered across Latin America or purchased followers, and three comped nig…

12

Covering the hours when your customer decides

In a Cancun tourism business most questions repeat and many arrive outside business hours. How do I get there from the airport, is the transfer included, is there availability that week, does the tour run in rain, what i…

13

Your past guest list is your only commission-free channel

Of every channel a Cancun tourism business has, one belongs entirely to you and almost nobody works it: the list of people who already stayed or already took your tour.

14

Selling location to someone who has never been here

In a destination where the guest pays without having seen anything, aerial footage answers the question carrying the most weight in the decision: where exactly is this.

15

Manual booking entry is where overselling is born

Cancun tourism operations live with a silent leak: bookings arrive through three or four different channels, meaning your site, two or three platforms, the phone and WhatsApp, and someone merges them by hand into a sprea…

16

Groups and weddings: the longest cycle and the most profitable

Cancun has two businesses living under one roof. One is the individual reservation, which arrives on its own through the engine or a platform and needs no follow-up.

Frequently asked questions

We answer your questions 😎

How do I take bookings back from Booking and Expedia?+

The goal isn't to leave the OTAs — it's for the traveler who found you there to finish the booking on your site. That takes a fast English page, a visible better direct rate, your own reviews and branded search campaigns.

Does the site have to be in English?+

In Cancun, yes. Most high-value demand searches in English. We build the site bilingual with separate URLs per language so Google can rank both versions.

How do you handle seasonality?+

We plan the year by season: winter for the international market, summer and long weekends for the domestic one. Ad budget and content follow that curve instead of spending evenly all year.

Should we charge in dollars or pesos?+

Display in the visitor currency and charge in whichever is operationally best for you. For a United States buyer, seeing the price in dollars dramatically reduces abandonment because they do not have to do mental conversion or worry about their bank fee. What matters is that the exchange rate and any surcharge are visible before payment.

What happens if the site goes down in high season?+

That is exactly the scenario monitoring exists for. The alert fires automatically and gets handled without waiting for you to report it, because every hour counts here. What should be defined in advance is the fallback: where visitors are directed while it is resolved, usually a reservations phone or WhatsApp, so you do not lose someone who had already decided.

How long to clear the Google warning?+

Cleanup usually resolves in hours or a couple of days depending on site size, and the Google review typically responds within twenty-four to seventy-two hours after it is requested. In high season it is worth handling immediately even on a weekend, because every day the warning stays live is booking traffic lost entirely.

How far ahead should we send seasonal rates?+

Ideally the full year block, or at minimum the next quarter. What causes the most damage in this market is loading high season rates on the day high season starts, because the guest booking two months ahead already saw the wrong price and already decided. We work from an advance calendar and you simply confirm.
