Web Design in Playa del Carmen

Your visitor does not book three nights. They book three weeks or three months. That guest researches far more before paying, and your site has to survive the scrutiny.

Why Brewed?

A long stay is decided by reading, not by looking at photos

Playa del Carmen draws a different visitor than a package destination: many people come for weeks or months, and some stay to live. That guest does not decide on four attractive photos. Before paying they want to know whether the internet is real and how fast, whether the building has a pool and when it gets noisy, how far the grocery store is, whether the neighborhood is walkable at night, how water and power work, and what happens if they need to extend a month. A site for this market has to answer all of that without anyone having to write and ask, because every question you force is a chance for them to leave for a platform where it is already answered. Language compounds it: English is not enough here, because a significant share of visitors come from Europe and South America. A site speaking only Spanish and English leaves a real piece of the market out.

  • ✓Complete practical information: internet, noise, distances, utilities
  • ✓Direct booking with weekly and monthly rates, not only nightly
  • ✓More than two languages when your guest mix genuinely justifies it
  • ✓Honest photos of the real space, including what is not perfect

What else we do for businesses in Playa del Carmen

01

One cart for buyers from half the world

E-commerce in Playa del Carmen faces something you do not see the same way in other Mexican destinations: the diversity of buyer origin. This is not a market dominated by the United States.

02

When the owner manages from another country

Playa del Carmen has a particularity that changes how maintenance should work: a significant share of condo owners, vacation rental operators and even local business owners do not live in the city full time.

03

More units multiply the work, not the revenue

The typical vacation rental operation in Playa del Carmen grows awkwardly: it starts with one apartment, then three, then you manage units for other owners, and suddenly you maintain eight calendars with different season…

04

Distance to the server is paid in bookings

Web optimization carries a component here that weighs less in other Mexican destinations: a good share of your traffic comes from much farther away.

05

Two different threats: infection and impersonation

In Playa del Carmen we handle two security problems worth keeping separate because they are solved differently. The first is the classic one: someone gets in through an outdated plugin, injects spam pages or malicious co…

06

Serving a visitor who could be on any continent

Hosting for a Playa del Carmen business has to solve something other markets do not face the same way: your visitors are spread across half the world.

Frequently asked questions

We answer your questions 😎

What does a website cost in Playa del Carmen?+

It depends on whether you need a booking engine, how many properties you list and how many languages. A single well-executed property site is a contained project. A site managing several units with different availability and rates is a different scale. We quote in parts so you start with what brings bookings and leave the rest for later.

How many languages should our site have?+

Spanish and English always, and beyond that it depends on your actual guests rather than an assumption. Look at where last year bookings came from: in this city it is common to find volumes that justify Italian, French or Portuguese. But only add a language you will keep updated, because an abandoned version with old pricing does more harm than not having it.

Is our own site worth it if we are already on rental platforms?+

Yes, especially for long stays. On stays of a month or more the platform commission is a meaningful amount, and that is precisely the guest easiest to move to your direct channel because they research thoroughly and usually search you by name before booking. The platform introduces them; your site is where you keep them.

Full payment upfront or a deposit?+

For single-day activities a deposit lowers friction and raises conversion, but also raises cancellations. For courses, certifications or retreats with closed groups, full payment or a large deposit makes sense, because an empty spot in a small group cannot be resold. What matters is that the policy is visible before payment and not a surprise afterward.

We live outside Mexico. How does this work?+

Asynchronously and in writing, which is how it works best. We define up front what gets resolved without consulting you, what needs your approval, and which channel carries each type of notice. Most of our clients in this situation review a monthly report and receive an email when something relevant happens, nothing more.

Can you maintain the availability calendar?+

Availability should sync from your system or from the platforms rather than being updated manually, because manual updates always drift and you end up double booked. What we do manage is everything around the calendar: published rates, minimums, promotions, descriptions and photos.

How do we know if our site is slow for a European visitor?+

By testing from there, which almost nobody does. There are tools that measure from different cities worldwide, and the gap against a local measurement is often surprising. It is the first check we run when a client in this market tells us the site feels fine but conversion is low.

We found a fake listing renting our property. What do we do?+

Document everything with screenshots and dates before reporting, because once the listing comes down you lose the evidence. Then report it to the platform hosting it, to the hosting provider if it is a standalone site, and request removal from search engines. It also helps to publish on your own channels which booking channels are official, so travelers can verify before paying.

Where should our server be located?+

Wherever it best serves your visitor mix, which here usually means a well-connected server plus a content delivery network bringing files closer to each region. A local server on the peninsula is rarely the best option for an international audience, even though intuitively it seems otherwise.

Do you serve the entire Playa del Carmen area?+

Yes. We work with businesses in Playa del Carmen and the surrounding area —Quinta Avenida, Playacar, Centro, Zona Norte, Colosio— remotely and on-site when the project requires it.
