The challenge

An industry where trust is earned in large print

Anyone shopping for a loan arrives already suspicious of the fine print. A SOFOM cannot fix that with promises: the law requires it to publish fees, rates, CAT, its specialised complaints unit and the Financial Entities Bureau, and to keep all of it consistent with what is filed with CONDUSEF. The challenge was turning that legal requirement into the sales argument instead of hiding it in a footer.

Business model

KAE is a regulated Mexican lender (SOFOM E.N.R.) placing personal, payroll and business loans at fixed rates. It lives on the volume of qualified applications and on following regulation to the letter: registered contracts, dated APR figures, a complaints unit and the financial-entities registry.

Strengths we leveraged

Where others hide conditions, KAE publishes them. We turned compliance into a strength: each product with clear requirements, regulatory information in plain sight and a warm tone that lowers the barrier to asking for a loan.

Competition & positioning

It competes with banks and fintechs that spend heavily on ads. Our bet was organic positioning by loan type ("fixed-installment payroll loan", "simple business loan for individuals") and a structure search engines read as a serious financial entity.
